Indications/Uses
HSV infection of the skin including initial & recurrent genital herpes & herpes labialis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin film of cream to infected skin areas 5 times daily every 4 hr. Duration: Usually 5 days, max: 10 days.
Special Precautions
Do not apply to mucous membranes (eg, oral cavity, eye or vagina). Severely immunocompromised patients should inform physician before starting therapy. Paraffin & petroleum jelly contained in Acyclovir Stada may reduce condom's resistance to tear.
Adverse Reactions
Transient burning or stinging of the treated skin areas. Occasionally, reddening, drying & scaling of skin.
